Re: Biofilms: The New Lyme-Toxin Myth

Fin-

I picked on the mention of a "virus" as well. Amazing that no one caught that one! I watched the video once, I could not bear to sit through it again.

I will be curious to see what "references" you are able to uncover.

Re: Apoptosis in Lyme borreliosis

Thanks. I just posted this same article on another site last week. My doctor follows my TGF B1 at intervals. My number was high initially and went even higher after starting treatment. (2-3x upper end of range) Can anyone explain it's significane in laymens terms? (I am a microbiologist, but this is...

Re: CDC and Fry Lab blood smear--weird info!

For whatever reason, Dr. Breitschwerdt is not always seeing a direct correlation with PCR+ = serology positive. Sometimes, the PCR is +, but the serology is negative and vice versa. So I guess the same could be said for the Fry smear. Also, in my Fry smear, all the organisms are intracellular. The R...

Re: CDC and Fry Lab blood smear--weird info!

That's me!

Actually, my PCR was negative, but the serology is positive.

Starting Rifampin now added to Zith, previously Biaxin.

Will update if/when I have more information.

Re: Bartonella / Multiple Sclerosis similarities

It is sad. How can so many of us present with the same sx and not be diagnosable (sp?) How come it can be a myriad of other "rare" or "atypical" diseases, but not Lyme?? I mean, I had very typical symptoms- bulls eye, knees, vertigo. But since my Lyme tests are negative, I can't have it. Each doctor...

Re: Bartonella / Multiple Sclerosis similarities

fin- I can't find out what the women in that forum article I posted was on. Which antibiotics, that is. I asked galaxy people if they intend to eventually do susceptibilities. That is a possiblilty for the future, but for now, there are no NACCLS standards to report/test for MIC's and the like. Also...

Re: Bartonella / Multiple Sclerosis similarities

My blood was tested for Bartonella through Breitschwerdt. Don't have recent results yet. I should add that since it is research based at this point and a vet lab testing human samples, there is no charge to the patient. I had to pay to ship the specimen there and for the blood draw. Your doctor can ...

Re: tv tonite--courageous heart of irena sendler

We watched this as a family. That is until the kids had to go to bed- school night! My sister had sent me an e-mail about Irene Sendler. I had never heard the story before. The gist of the message was that she was up against Al Gore for a Peace Prize- and Gore won for his global warming movie... :tw...

"so Im guessing he is all or part retired at this point and hasnt so much changed his mind as he is annoyed at his conclusions being misstated.misused. misappropriated."

Thanks, Fin.

Re: Volkman's critique of IDSA guidelines

I sent Dr. Volkman a thank you e-mail. Actually got a response (don't know if it is an automatic response). "Thanks for your kind remarks. The proper diagnosis and approach to possible borreliosis is well known, the problem seems to be the deceptive recommendations of the IDSA designated "experts." ...
