Re: LymePolicyWonk: Patient-Powered Research and Lyme Diseas

Hey Henry, Yes. I am aware by now of what those 4-godforsaken-NIH-sponsored clinical trials are all about. After all, there have only been 4 done since, what, the year 2001? I'm fine with your conclusion that... it is reasonable to assume that the results tend to refute that hypothesis and should en...

Re: LymePolicyWonk: Patient-Powered Research and Lyme Diseas

Henry said to Duncan: Duncan: I anxiously await an example of how well the patient centric model proposed by Ms Johnson works -- and whether it works at all. All of the 4 NIH supported studies on the beneficial effects of extended antibiotic therapy on symptoms associate with post treatment Lyme dis...

Re: CDC Persistence Webinar Transcripts and Slides Available

I just can't keep track of all these new "behavioral" conditions. Let's see... "Healthcare-seeking behavior" sounds a lot like "Doctor Shopping" And "sickness behavior" sounds quite a bit like "Drug-seeking behavior". I could be wrong, but does there seem to be a trend? I wonder, as Duncan does, whe...

Re: Call for Immediate Action on Critical Diagnostic Tests

So, the thinking here is that they would rather have false negatives than false positives? I'm sure this "Call to Action" has everything to do with a bad ovarian cancer test in 2008 and very little to do with the Advanced Labs new Lyme culture test, right? It could be just me, but losing my ovaries ...

Re: CDC Persistence Webinar Transcripts and Slides Available

Yes, it seems oddly..odd to me. So, these parents bring their beloved children to Dr. Shapiro to find out what is causing their "non-specific" fatigue and their "non-specific" swollen knees, joints, and muscle aches, and those incredibly "non-specific" spams and neurological tics (you know everybody...

Re: CDC Persistence Webinar Transcripts and Slides Available

"Health-care seeking behaviors"?

Is that anything like "sickness behavior"?

Re: New treatment clues, and acknowledgment of persisters

The author of that rel-risk blog has an awful lot of criticism for Lyme researchers, doctors, advocates, and even the patients but not a whole lot along the lines of helping those patients. I wonder if the author aspires to being something more than a critic one day? Like, perhaps, putting that sign...

Re: Newbie here - 4 day old rash

As I understand it, the earlier you catch it and treat it, the better and less likely you will experience all the horror stories you read about on this and other Lyme sites. Most people on this site have been suffering immense pain and cognitive issues for many many years precisely because no one kn...

Re: Is Dr. Wormser a Spirochete in Disguise?

Aha! So others are getting suspicious then, too! I was just sitting in my usual ton of pain and wondering about all the strange reactions Lyme patients get from doctors and researchers. It's just so odd to me that so many people going to doctors for physical ailments would be sent on their way to ps...

Is Dr. Wormser a Spirochete in Disguise?

I believe Dr. Wormser may be a spirochete in human disguise! Just like a bad b-movie, even his name gives us a clue to his true identity. He is here trying to push forth the "Borrelial Agenda" which is, of course, to be fruitful and multiply around the world infecting all of humankind. And then, whe...
