Re: Webinar on Lyme - state of research on persistence

Only 4 more days until the May 22nd seminar where we will get our ONE AND ONLY chance to speak with the people in charge of which direction Lyme research takes! The American CDC informs the European CDC equivalent and vice versa, so this online question and answer seminar is important to all of us. ...

Re: Webinar on Lyme - state of research on persistence

Wow. I am impressed - I didn't think the CDC would be this brave! I have so many questions for them, they're coming out my ears. I bet we all do. Maybe we all could list all of our questions in this thread and see how many overlap. This way, whoever gets to talk to them will have an arsenal of quest...

Re: Pathogenesis of Post-Lyme Disease Symptoms

Duncan, There are many similarities between ME/CFS and Lyme/post-Lyme, but I think there are a few really important differences, too. One thing seems to be the neurological manifestations of Lyme especially for those of us who have had it a long time. Both ME and Lyme people suffer from "brain fog" ...

Re: Pathogenesis of Post-Lyme Disease Symptoms

Wow. Thanks LHCTom! That is a lot of new information for me. I especially liked the "Metabolic Pathways" Poster. Where on the poster are the nervous system metabolites? Are they near the catecholamines? This field looks very promising for all mankind. Unfortunately, I don't see how it will help peop...

Re: Pathogenesis of Post-Lyme Disease Symptoms

LHCTom: Would metabolites be able to tell us anything if the problem lies in the nervous system? Duncan: Cytokines and other immune system products of inflammation are not enough to explain all the problems of post-treatment patients. Our problems extend far beyond the pain of inflammation - especia...

Re: Pathogenesis of Post-Lyme Disease Symptoms

It is a relief to see that somebody is looking at what happens after a rigorous antibiotic treatment. Something is very wrong with many of us whose infections are most likely dead, and yet our symptoms are still many and painful and debilitating. If some of us actually did successfully treat the Lym...

Re: Morgellons diseases as a Cellulosic FiberOpathy (MacDona

I thought the fibers found coming out of Morgellons' patients skin was not cellulose but instead some form of chiton - like that of sea creatures?

Hello Everyone! I have been reading LymeNet Europe for a number of years, but have been too sick to actually post anything. This is a great blog for intelligent debate and information about Lyme disease - so Thank You for existing. I haven't wanted to share anything about my treatment because absolu...
