Re: LLMD--is it worth it? Cost/benefit of Lyme treatment?
I have to add: If your body have made antibodies in the beginning of the disease, those antibodies are probably gone in a few years. Antibodies don't "last forever"! So, if you have had the disease for ten or more years (like me), you can't expect that a test made to (only) detect antibodies for ear...

Re: LLMD--is it worth it? Cost/benefit of Lyme treatment?
There are good studies on cystform! Brorson, Miklossy (I hope I remember the last name right). I don't know everything about antibiodies, but a very important thing, is to use the right "ground" in the test. And, I think that antibiodies change during the disease, and then the tests made for early L...

Hi Spanky!
I have a microscope, and I can see both the spirochetes, granules and the cysts. I can see the cysts transform into spirochetes again!
Don't trust what IDSA claim!

Re: LLMD--is it worth it? Cost/benefit of Lyme treatment?
As I se it, there is: 1: Cured Lyme without any restsymptoms 2: Cured Lyme with remaining symptoms (ABX will not work on this symtoms) 3: Active Chronic Lyme that ABX work on 4: Active Chronic Lyme that ABX don't work very well on (maybe due to co-infections or perhaps due to that some borrelia type...

Re: Wacky Wonk of the West whines again
When IDSA start to talk about biofilm colonies, CWD/L-form, immuno deficiencies (both primary and secondary due to chronic infections perhaps?) and when they understand cystform, then I (maybe) will listen to them! When IDSA mention all the cases that already have died from Lyme, then I (maybe) will...

Re: Clock 'ticking' down on Jones
My Dr (and I think most Swedish Dr are) is very responsible, and check with test so I don't be harmed by the treatment. Maybe there is Dr, that don't do this? But, if the Dr:s "do things right", what is wrong with givning people who suffer from an chronic infection, treatment that help them? I, myse...

Spanky, you wrote: "The IDSA Guidelines ARE only recommendations, despite what you may have read elsewhere." Ok, since IDSA:s Guidelines (IDSA call it Guidelines) are only recommendations, an american Dr can do as he like too, then? In Sweden, there is (of course) also a "rule" for Dr:s not to do an...

Nope, the nearest one is in Germany!Carina-
Are there pediatric Lyme Specialists in Sweden?

Re: Clock 'ticking' down on Jones
I think that every Dr who help us who suffer from chronic active (hard-to-cure) Lyme, need all the support we can give! And, I don't understand why they don't change the IDSA-Guidelines to be only recommendations. I Sweden we only have recommendations, so a Dr in Sweden can actually do as he like. I...
